Shari loves helping children with speech and language disorders achieve their potential as communicators. Whether it's a few speech sound errors, a language-learning disorder, or a significant developmental disability, a communication disorder can seriously hamper a child's success both socially and academically, and cause great frustration for both the child and his/her family. Helping children become more effective and successful at communicating and learning is immensely rewarding.
Shari has worked in the field of Speech-Language Pathology since 1989. She has made her home in Vernon since 1992, working at NONA till 2007 and for School District 22 in 2008. She is delighted to now be in private practice.
Shari also volunteers for her provincial professional association, the B.C. Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (BCASLPA), and for the Allan Brooks Nature Centre. She also accompanies the Beairsto Elementary choir on piano.
