Vernon Women in Business – Message from the President
My journey with Vernon Women in Business began when I attended (with great apprehension) my first luncheon with my dear friend and business partner. Little did I know or imagine I would be representing the membership as your president 5 years later.
A lot has happened in those 5 years and I believe it is more important than ever for women to ‘build stronger and more meaningful relationships both personally and professionally’... the very foundation of what Vernon Women in Business is all about.
This year promises to be one of renewal and newness – with focus toward building on what is working well and making it even better. It is deeply gratifying to lead this year’s executive team, offering an ideal blend of new and returning members with diverse experiences and desires.
We continue to deliver on our internal goal to create a legacy of simplicity, efficiency and accountability by being prepared, allowing everyone to be heard and making it fun. Here’s a few of the things already underway or ready to launch:

Our presence and growth within the community is dependent on your membership. My challenge to you? Invite someone to a luncheon and help them find a “place to belong’ too.
And remember – in the words of my very wise predecessor, “it takes more than joining and handing out business cards, it takes attending the meetings, coming early to network, staying late to visit, listening, participating, sharing and being authentically you. YOU are perfect!”
